Humanities

At St Michael’s Academy we strive to offer hands on and engaging experiences to enhance the learning of History and Geography. Our History and Geography topics are linked to other subjects and teachers will make these links where possible to enrich the teaching and learning.
Within each topic, teachers aim to organise trips or have experts visit the school. These experiences are used to shape the curriculum and are tailored to fit the needs of each class.
Within the classroom children have access to a variety of resources, artefacts, iPads and topic related books to aid with independent learning and enquiry.
